Working together, creating change

About us

Primary Health Initiative (PHI) is a non-partisan philanthropic trust set up to advance the health and well-being of all New Zealanders by enabling a world class primary health care system.

We believe collaboration in the primary health sector is crucial in driving meaningful change and creating a healthier future for all. We appreciate that the issues are complex and multifaceted. So, to start with, we will focus on General Practice. We want to understand the key challenges in this area and seek some common goals, not least to ensure the health and wellbeing of those working as GPs, who are central to the viability of the sector.

We invite you to join us on our mission to transform primary health and bring about positive change.

We would like to acknowledge TGT Legal for their generous pro bono services, supporting us through our registration process with the Charities Service.
